We
did a similar photo barrage with Wynn and Wilk last Memorial
Day...looks like a new tradition has begun for us, I suppose. It was a
great day to remember so many blessings...particularly that of our rich
heritage.
Here in Jerome, Wynn
apparently got confused as to who exactly we were leaving the flowers
for. We ate at a local restaurant, Girabaldi's, tonight and coincidentally my father waltzed in to pick up some
food of his own. He came over to say hello and Wynn then informed his Grandpa that we left some flowers for
him earlier...

| My Grandfather Thompson's gravesite...whose parents homesteaded where we live now, the same location where he raised his family. World War II, Navy |

| Grandfather Williams...moved to Jerome with his young family in the 50's. My roots run deep in this town. Grandpa had several battle stars during World War II flying in B-17's in Northern Africa. It was inspiring to see how many flags there were in the Jerome cemetery, denoting military service. Grateful for all who have served and who do serve at great sacrifice, sometimes everything. This country is great and can remain great in large part because of them. I truly believe that. |
Nice tribute, great reminder; handsome little sweetheart!
